Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Service Engineer role based in Vadodara.
The Service Engineer will perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and repair of extrusion, compounding, mixing, and related equipment at customer sites. Responsibilities include diagnosing technical issues, performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and providing timely field service visits. The role involves preparing service reports, coordinating with internal technical teams and overseas principals, and ensuring minimal downtime for customer operations. The Service Engineer will also train customer personnel on safe and efficient equipment use, support spare parts identification, and uphold company safety and quality standards during all site activities.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Hands-on field service experience, including on-site visits, installation, and commissioning of industrial equipment.
- Technical support capabilities, including remote support, issue documentation, and coordination with engineering teams.
- Proficiency in maintenance and repair of rotating machinery, extruders, mixers, or comparable industrial systems.
- Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
- Ability to read technical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals; basic PLC/HMI familiarity is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites and work in industrial plant environments.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction; experience with plastics, cables, or compounding plants is a plus.
