Role Description The Service Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The Service Engineer will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and servicing extrusion machinery and related equipment used in the production of uPVC and aluminum window and door profiles. Daily responsibilities include conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring minimal downtime. The role involves coordinating with production teams, documenting service activities, preparing technical reports, and supporting process improvements to enhance equipment performance and safety. The Service Engineer will also work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery.
- Familiarity with extrusion processes, uPVC and aluminum profile production, and related tools, equipment, and safety practices.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals, and to prepare clear service and maintenance documentation.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, measuring instruments, and basic computer applications for reporting and communication.
- Relevant technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or similar field).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or building materials industry is preferred; exposure to window and door systems is a plus.
- Willingness to work on-site in Delhi and occasionally travel to other locations for service support as required.
