Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Service Engineer based in Ahmedabad. The Service Engineer will be responsible for deployment, integration, and support of Digilize’s software solutions across client manufacturing environments.
The role involves working closely with shop-floor systems such as PLCs, SCADA, conveyors, and packaging machines to ensure seamless data flow into MES/eBMR systems. The engineer will troubleshoot both software and basic hardware/integration issues, support live operations, and coordinate with internal teams for timely resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and support MES, eBMR, and E-Logbook solutions at client sites
Integrate software systems with PLCs, SCADA systems, conveyors, and packaging machines
Perform basic wiring checks, signal validation, and I/O troubleshooting
Diagnose and resolve technical issues across software and shop-floor equipment
Provide on-site and remote support to ensure minimal downtime
Assist in system testing, validation, and commissioning activities
Train operators and client teams on system usage and workflows
Coordinate with internal teams for escalations, bug fixes, and enhancements
Maintain documentation for configurations, integrations, and issue logs
Qualifications
Strong troubleshooting skills across software and basic industrial hardware systems
Hands-on experience or understanding of PLC, SCADA, conveyors, or packaging machines
Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, sensors, and industrial communication signals
Experience in field service, on-site support, or manufacturing environments
Good communication skills for client interaction and team coordination
Willingness to travel and work in a dynamic, hands-on role
Preferred:
Background in Engineering (Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical, or related fields)
Exposure to industrial automation, manufacturing, or pharma environments
- Familiarity with MES/ERP systems or production workflows
