Role Description The Service Engineer – Electric Vehicle Two Wheeler role is a full-time, on-site position based in Sulur. The person in this role will diagnose, repair, and maintain electric two-wheeler motorcycles, including electrical systems, batteries, motors, controllers, and mechanical components. Daily work includes performing routine servicing, conducting test rides, troubleshooting issues, updating service records, and ensuring that vehicles meet performance and safety standards. The Service Engineer will interact with customers to understand concerns, explain service work, and provide guidance on proper vehicle use and preventive maintenance. The role also involves collaborating with the technical and product teams to report field issues, support continuous improvement, and follow all company safety and quality procedures.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong technical skills in EV powertrains, battery systems, motor controllers, electrical wiring, and basic electronics diagnostics.
- Candidates should possess skills in mechanical maintenance and repair of two-wheelers, including brakes, suspension, chassis, and general vehicle inspection.
- Candidates should possess skills in using diagnostic tools and software, reading wiring diagrams, and following standard service procedures and checklists.
- Candidates should possess customer service and communication skills to clearly explain technical issues, service actions, and safety guidelines to riders.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving and analytical skills to identify root causes, propose solutions, and support continuous product improvement.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Automobile Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification) is preferred.
- Prior experience servicing two-wheelers or electric vehicles, and familiarity with EV safety standards, is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Sulur, follow safety protocols, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team is required.
