Job Description: Assistant Manager – Aftermarket (Service & Aftermarket Department)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, technically strong, and customer-oriented Assistant Manager – Aftermarket to join our Service team. The role involves installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service support for Pumps, Cooling Towers, Valves, and Actuators. The ideal candidate will demonstrate hands-on technical proficiency, strong customer-handling skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality aftermarket service.
Experience Required:
- Diploma (Mechanical / Electrical): 8+ years
- B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical): 4–6 years
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical & Service Execution
- Manage installation, commissioning, and service activities for Pumps, Cooling Towers, Valves, and Actuators independently.
- Perform testing and commissioning of Cooling Towers.
- Work confidently on PLC-based controllers, HMIs, VFDs, and BMS-integrated systems.
- Conduct detailed root cause analysis (RCA) and fishbone analysis for failures.
- Support Energy Audit processes and collect field data for HVAC system optimization.
- Prepare timely and accurate service reports and provide technical feedback to customers and internal teams.
2. Customer Management & Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer queries via phone, email, and on-site visits.
- Build strong long-term relationships by understanding customer operational needs.
- Address customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Provide support to OEM service teams and coordinate with internal departments for seamless service delivery.
- Handle complete site coordination from installation to final handover.
3. Administrative & Coordination Responsibilities
- Maintain detailed service documentation, reports, and site records.
- Prepare service summaries, communication logs, and reports using MS Office and Outlook.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance service delivery and support aftermarket revenue growth.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India for service assignments.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems and equipment.
- Excellent communication, customer-handling, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Customer-centric mindset with a focus on service excellence.
Experience & Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Service Engineer / Aftermarket Engineer / Assistant Manager in the HVAC or capital equipment industry.
- Ability to independently handle site operations and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Strong business acumen and technical expertise.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency practices and HVAC optimization is a plus.
