About This New Role
At Septagon, we’re building a centralized layout and survey function and we’re looking for someone who wants to take ownership, enhance and standardize operations, and make it better across the board.
This isn’t just a total station role. This is your chance to shape how layout gets done across multiple projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
Own Layout Across Projects
- Run and oversee total station layout (Topcon preferred)
- Set control points and make sure everything lines up exactly how it should
- Layout anchor bolts, embeds, and structural components
- Catch issues before they turn into expensive problems
Work With the People Who Actually Build It
- Partner with Project Managers & Superintendents
- Help solve layout challenges in real time
- Keep jobs moving instead of slowing them down
Build on Existing Processes (and Address What’s Missing)
- Create better processes for how layout is done
- Bring consistency across jobs
- Reduce rework and make everyone’s life easier
Own the Technology
- Manage total station equipment and layout files
- Keep field and design data clean and organized
- Help us get smarter and more efficient with how we use technology
Help Others Get Better
- Train field teams on layout processes
- Be the go-to person when things don’t look right
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in construction layout, surveying, or field engineering
- You actually understand how things get built—not just what the plans say
- Strong total station experience (Topcon is a plus)
- Someone who notices problems and fixes them instead of walking past them
- Able to juggle multiple projects without losing the details
