About the role
Your role at Sephora:
As a Director in Merchandising, you will be responsible for developing objectives and brand strategies for the assigned category and brands for the US market. You will implement department objectives/ projects, brand and client strategies and visual presentations within your assigned brands and the product world to meet financial objectives. As a Director of Merchandising, you will be responsible for achieving financial and strategic goals of the category - sales, gross margin, weeks of supply and stock turnover, while also developing and coaching a team. Reporting to the VP, you will develop and implement department objectives, brand strategies, client needs and visual presentation within the category.
Develop and execute overall strategy for growth with new product introductions and strategic expansion of current brands
Source and develop new brands that fill an important need gap within the category; analyze and manage all elements of a category to identify areas of opportunity
Develop and manage brand relationships, terms negotiations, including margin, testers/damages, training support, co-op, RTVs, samples; as well as assortment and plan promotions, launches, animations for brands within category strategy

Interpret and communicate management direction to team members within business unit to ensure that each initiative is developed within the desired timeline
Communicate brand and business opportunities to stores
Manage fixture/plannogram planning and implementation, plan promotions, launches, animations and marketing activities with internal partners
