ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a forward-thinking Backlinks & Outreach Specialist who understands that modern link-building is about Digital Authority, not just quantity. In this role, you will blend traditional outreach excellence with AI-augmented workflows to secure high-impact placements in the EdTech ecosystem. You will be responsible for navigating the Helpful Content era by building a backlink profile that establishes our brand as a thought leader, leveraging AI to scale personalization without sacrificing human quality.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • AI-Enhanced Outreach: Utilize AI tools (like ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity) to research prospects, personalize outreach at scale, and craft high-converting subject lines and pitches.
  • Authority Building (E-E-A-T): Execute high-level link-building strategies (Guest Posting, Digital PR, Resource Pages) that specifically signal Expertise and Trust to search engines.
  • Strategic Prospecting: Identify high-authority educational domains (.edu, .gov, top-tier EdTech blogs) and build long-term partnerships rather than one-off links.
  • Competitor Intelligence: Use AI-powered SEO tools to perform deep-dive gap analyses and uncover hidden link opportunities from competitors.
  • Content Collaboration: Work with the content team to identify linkable assets (e.g., salary surveys, career guides, industry reports) and promote them to journalists and influencers.
  • Link Hygiene & Risk Management: Monitor backlink health, anchor text diversity, and link velocity to ensure 100% compliance with Google’s evolving Spam Policies.
  • Reporting & Attribution: Beyond just DR/DA, track how earned links impact organic rankings and Share of Voice using SEMrush, and Google Search Console.


REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 3-4 years of experience in SEO link building, preferably EdTech.
  • AI Literacy: Proficiency in using LLMs (Large Language Models) to automate repetitive outreach tasks and refine outreach data.
  • Advanced Toolset: Expert-level knowledge of SEMrush, Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to use Google Sheets/Excel to clean lead lists and analyze link performance.
  • Excellent Communication: A human-first approach to email—writing pitches that don’t look like they were generated by a bot.
  • Deep Understanding of SEO: You must understand how the Helpful Content Update and SGE (Search Generative Experience) affect the value of a backlink.

    • Prompt Engineering: Ability to write complex prompts to analyze a website’s relevance or summarize content for guest post ideation.
    • SGE Awareness: Understanding how brand mentions and citations (even without a link) impact visibility in AI-generated search results.
