About the role :
We are looking for an experienced SEO & GEO lead to own end-to-end organic growth at Scapia. This role spans both brand and acquisition, driving category leadership across traditional search and AI answer engines like ChatGPT and Claude, while also building a high-conversion funnel from organic traffic to card applications
.You will be the single point of ownership for strategy, visibility, and execution — defining the roadmap, prioritising initiatives, and working closely with Tech and an external content agency to deliver impact. The role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with success measured on outcomes across traffic, rankings, conversions, and AI-driven share of voice.
Roles & Responsibilities
Strategy & Ownership
- Own the SEO + GEO roadmap aligned to business goals
- Prioritize initiatives and drive organic discovery across search and AI platforms
Cards Acquisition
- SEO Drive organic card applications and approvals
- Optimize the funnel (traffic → application → approval
- Secure top rankings for high-intent keywords
Brand SEO
- Grow organic traffic and share of voice across key categories
- Build domain authority through high-quality backlinks
GEO (Generative Engine Optimization
- Build presence across AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Claude
- Drive brand citations in AI answers for priority queries
- Optimize content for generative retrieval and evolving AI search behaviour
Execution Excellence
- Ensure consistent, high-quality content output
- Maintain strong technical SEO (Core Web Vitals, indexing, schema, linking
- Create machine-readable, citation-ready content
Collaboration
- Partner with Tech, Product, Brand, PR, and Performance teams
- Manage external content agency and align with growth goals
Who Are You
- 5–8+ years of SEO experience, with at least 2–3 years owning SEO end-to-end (strategy + execution, not just one slice
- Active hands-on experience with GEO, or a demonstrated, sharp point of view on how AI search is changing organic discovery. You've already been experimenting with optimising for AI answer engines, not just reading about it.
- Strong track record in either fintech / cards / financial services or high-velocity D2C / travel / consumer internet, bonus if you've worked at the intersection.
- Comfortable with technical SEO, rendering, crawl budgets, schema, site architecture, Core Web Vitals
- Sharp on content SEO and GEO, you understand search intent, generative retrieval, content velocity, topical authority, and how to brief and manage agencies to ship at pace for both classical and AI-driven surfaces
- Experience driving conversion-led organic growth, not just traffic, but qualified traffic that converts into a defined business outcome
- Data-fluent, comfortable with GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs / Semrush, Screaming Frog, and ideally familiar with GEO-specific tools(Profound, Otterly.ai, Peec AI, AthenaHQ, or your own measurement stack). SQL or Looker for cohort analysis is a plus
