Job Title: SEO Account Planner

Location: Hyderabad, India

Experience: 3 to 6 years


Role Overview

The SEO Account Planner is the strategic owner and relationship leader for assigned client accounts. This role is responsible for defining and driving the SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategy, building strong client relationships, and owning execution end-to-end in collaboration with internal teams.


You act as the voice of the client internally and the voice of the SEO product externally, ensuring that business goals are translated into clear, actionable, and measurable organic growth strategies—and that these strategies are executed flawlessly.


Key Responsibilities


1. Client Strategy & Ownership

  • Define and lead end-to-end SEO & GEO strategies for each client
  • Ensure 100% alignment of strategy with Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Translate business goals into clear roadmaps with measurable outcomes
  • Continuously refine strategies based on performance, trends, and AI-driven search evolution


2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain trusted, long-term client relationships
  • Lead client calls with confidence, clarity, and strategic direction
  • Handle escalations and difficult conversations with professionalism
  • Ensure consistent communication and proactive updates


3. Strategy Execution & Delivery Ownership

  • Take full ownership of executing the defined SEO & GEO strategy, not just planning it
  • Work closely with delivery teams to drive implementation end-to-end
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed with high quality, accuracy, and within timelines
  • Act as the bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring no gaps between planning and delivery
  • Proactively identify blockers and ensure timely resolution to keep execution on track
  • Continuously monitor execution quality and optimize workflows for better efficiency and results


4. Performance & Growth

  • Drive an increase in client revenue through organic channels
  • Monitor performance and ensure continuous optimization
  • Deliver insight-driven recommendations that directly impact business outcomes


5. AI & Future Search Integration

  • Incorporate AI-first thinking into all strategies
  • Align SEO efforts with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) best practices
  • Stay updated on how AI search engines evaluate, rank, and surface content
  • Identify opportunities to improve visibility across AI-driven discovery platforms


Success Metrics (KPIs)

  • 90%+ client satisfaction (via surveys/testimonials)
  • Measurable increase in client revenue
  • Clear SEO/GEO strategy defined for every client
  • 100% strategy alignment with SOW
  • Consistent delivery of actionable insights and recommendations
