Platform Engineer (Hybrid Work Model)

The Platform Engineer role at Sentry is responsible for the design and implementation of the organization’s data center and platform infrastructure, requiring a comprehensive technical skillset and close collaboration with other IT teams. You’ll be tasked with providing a robust foundation of expertise, support, automation, inventories, tools, and services to streamline internal technology solutions. Your responsibilities include independently developing and maintaining solutions aligned with established architecture and guidelines to enhance the quality and accessibility of platform administration for internal customers, facilitating efficient feature delivery and reducing IT friction. This position can be filled as a Platform Engineer or a Senior Platform Engineer, based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.

• Elasticsearch (ELK) including Elasticsearch as a Service.
• Dynatrace for the Enterprise including Total Availability reporting.
• Atlassian OpsGenie and JIRA platform management.
• RabbitMQ cluster management for decoupling applications.
• BMC Control-M cluster management that enables development teams to build batch processes.
  
  

• What it Takes:
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one major technical specialization or practice within Platform Engineering.
• Proficient in system administration, scripting, and desired state automation tooling relevant to the role.
• Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following infrastructure domains: hardware, storage, virtualization, software, cloud, security, networking, or operating systems.
