Role Description The Senior Engineer role at Vasantha Group is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The Senior Engineer will lead the design, development, and optimization of injection molding and related automation solutions, ensuring robust, efficient, and scalable manufacturing processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing engineering projects, reviewing technical specifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, guiding junior engineers, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The role involves troubleshooting production issues, implementing process improvements, supporting new product introductions, and coordinating with global stakeholders to align engineering practices with customer requirements. The Senior Engineer will also contribute to technical documentation, participate in design reviews, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing cell.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in mechanical, plastics, or manufacturing engineering, with specific experience in injection molding processes and tooling design.
- Proficiency in engineering design and analysis tools (e.g., CAD software, mold flow analysis, tolerance analysis) and familiarity with automation systems related to molding and post-molding operations.
- Experience in process optimization, root cause analysis, and implementation of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.
- Ability to manage engineering projects end-to-end, including planning, coordination with cross-functional teams, risk assessment, and timely execution.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and work effectively with global teams and customers.
- Knowledge of quality management systems, relevant industry standards, and regulatory requirements for sectors such as medical, packaging, and consumer goods.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Plastics, or related discipline) and several years of progressive experience in a manufacturing or injection molding environment.
- Experience working in a global organization or multi-location setup and readiness to coordinate with international stakeholders.
