Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Applied AI/ML Lead to drive the design, development, and deployment of advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for real-world business applications. This role focuses on translating AI research into scalable, production-ready systems that enhance customer experiences, enable personalization, and deliver measurable business impact.
The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise in AI/ML technologies, cloud platforms, and production deployment, along with proven leadership experience in guiding AI teams and aligning technical solutions with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development, deployment, and optimization of AI/ML models for business-critical applications.
- Design and implement scalable AI solutions focused on customer personalization, recommendation systems, segmentation, and predictive analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Analytics, and Software Development to integrate AI/ML models into production systems.
- Ensure data readiness, quality, and pipeline reliability for AI/ML model training and deployment.
- Translate business requirements into robust AI-driven solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Monitor, evaluate, and optimize AI model performance using AIOps practices to improve reliability and reduce MTTR.
- Implement real-time AI/ML pipelines and integrate models with streaming platforms such as Kafka.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to AI/ML engineers and data scientists.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML, LLMs, and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of overall experience in AI/ML development, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or technical lead role.
- Proven experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments.
- Strong programming skills in Python for AI/ML development and deployment.
Required Technical Skills
- Expertise in AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
- Hands-on experience with AWS AI/ML services, including Amazon SageMaker or similar cloud-based AI platforms
- Strong experience in developing personalization systems, recommendation engines, segmentation, and scoring models
- Deep understanding of data pipelines, real-time data processing, and integration with platforms like Kafka
- Experience deploying and managing AI/ML models in scalable, production-grade environments
- Knowledge of AIOps practices and model performance monitoring
Preferred Skills
- Experience with MinIO, Amazon S3, or similar object storage systems
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow
- Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
- Experience with containerization and deployment tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of MLOps practices and model lifecycle management
