Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WMS Automation Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated test solutions for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Selenium with Java, API automation, BDD frameworks, and hands-on experience with warehouse functional flows, inventory systems, and enterprise integrations. This role requires strong automation expertise, performance testing capabilities, and familiarity with modern QA tools, AI-assisted testing, and CI/CD environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium with Java, BDD, and Cucumber.
- Perform API automation testing using tools such as Rest Assured and Postman.
- Validate backend data using SQL and BigQuery, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Develop and execute automated test cases for WMS workflows, inventory movements, and warehouse operations.
- Test system integrations with ERP, TMS, and YMS platforms.
- Validate event-driven systems and messaging queues such as Kafka and GCP Pub/Sub.
- Conduct performance and load testing using tools like JMeter, Gatling, K6, or LoadRunner.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Work with containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Utilize observability tools such as Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, or similar tools for monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Perform testing on RF and mobile devices such as Honeywell, Zebra, and Android-based warehouse devices.
- Leverage AI tools such as Cody, CodeRabbit, Claude, Gemini, etc. for test case generation, automation improvement, and code optimization.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Participate in sprint planning, test planning, defect management, and root cause analysis.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation coverage, and quality standards.
Required Skills and QualificationsMust-Have Skills
- Strong expertise in Selenium with Java
- Hands-on experience with BDD frameworks and Cucumber
- Strong experience in API Automation using Rest Assured
- Solid understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and query writing
- Experience working in Agile environments using JIRA
- Experience using AI tools such as Cody, CodeRabbit, Claude, Gemini, or similar
