JOB LENGTH – 3 Months (Estimated, with option to extend based on performance)
LOCATION – Fully Remote / Work From Home (No travel required)
POSITION TYPE – Full-Time Contract
We are looking for a talented Video Editor with strong social media knowledge to join our team on a full-time contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who understands not just how to edit videos, but how to create highly engaging short-form content designed to perform well on TikTok and Instagram.
You should have a strong understanding of short-form storytelling, audience retention, social media trends, pacing, hooks, captions, and what makes content shareable and engaging. This is a temporary role for 1–3 months, with the possibility of extension for the right person.
Your working hours can be reasonably flexible, but you will be expected to work full-time. You must have your own computer and reliable internet connection.
Responsibilities
- Edit raw footage into high-performing short-form videos for TikTok and Instagram
- Create engaging edits with strong hooks, fast pacing, captions, transitions, sound design, and on-screen graphics
- Repurpose long-form or raw content into multiple short-form clips optimized for social media
- Stay up to date with current social media trends, editing styles, and platform best practices
- Make content recommendations based on what is likely to perform well and drive engagement
- Trim footage, remove unnecessary content, and structure videos for maximum viewer retention
- Add subtitles/captions, music, sound effects, motion graphics, and visual effects where needed
- Ensure videos are exported in the correct format, dimensions, and file sizes for each platform
- Collaborate with our team through email, messaging, and video calls when required
- Maintain consistency with our brand style and content goals
Qualifications
- Proven experience editing short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of what makes social media content engaging and shareable
