ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a sharp video editor who understands the D2C content game — fast-paced edits, scroll-stopping hooks, UGC-style reels, product demos, and ad creatives that convert. You won’t just be cutting clips; you’ll be crafting content that drives real business outcomes across Meta, YouTube, and Instagram.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Edit short-form video content for ads (Meta, YouTube), organic social (Reels, Shorts), and product pages.
- Create multiple ad variations with different hooks, CTAs, and pacing for A/B testing.
- Work with raw UGC footage, product shoots, and stock assets to produce polished, on-brand content.
- Add motion graphics, text overlays, subtitles, and sound design to enhance video quality.
- Maintain an organised asset library and follow naming conventions for all deliverables.
- Collaborate with the media buyer and growth strategist to understand what’s working and iterate fast.
- Stay on top of trending formats, transitions, and editing styles across social platforms.
- Turn around edits quickly — speed and quality are equally important here.
REQUIREMENTS
- 1–3 years of experience in video editing, preferably for D2C brands, agencies, or content creators.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro.
- Working knowledge of After Effects or CapCut for motion graphics and effects.
- Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual rhythm — especially for short-form content.
- Understanding of what makes an ad creative perform (hook, value prop, CTA structure).
- Portfolio or reel showcasing ad creatives, UGC edits, or social media content.
GOOD TO HAVE
- Experience editing for performance marketing (conversion-focused content).
- Basic skills in colour grading, sound mixing, and thumbnail design.
- Familiarity with Figma or Canva for quick graphic overlays.
- Understanding of Meta and YouTube ad specs and best practices.
