About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Video Annotation Specialist to create high-quality, frame-accurate annotations for egocentric videos used in robotics and embodied AI. This role is responsible for producing gold-standard segmentation and action labels, developing annotation guidelines, and ensuring annotation quality through rigorous reviews and calibration.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform frame-by-frame segmentation of egocentric videos with 99%+ annotation accuracy.
- Create precise action labels using a controlled vocabulary and annotation guidelines.
- Review, audit, and validate annotations to ensure ground-truth quality.
- Interpret complex SOPs and convert them into clear annotation guidelines.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of annotation standards, SOPs, and edge-case documentation.
- Train, calibrate, and mentor annotators to maintain consistent annotation quality.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in video annotation for robotics, embodied AI, autonomous systems, or computer vision.
- Hands-on experience with professional video annotation tools and frame-by-frame review workflows.
- Strong understanding of frame-level accuracy and high-quality annotation standards.
- Excellent written English with the ability to create clear, consistent, and precise action labels.
- Experience creating, following, and improving annotation SOPs, guidelines, and quality standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive, precision-focused work.
- Self-motivated with a startup mindset and the ability to quickly learn complex processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Robotics, Computer Vision, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience working at an AI, Robotics, or Autonomous Systems company.
- Degree from a top-tier engineering institution is a plus.
