Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Vice President - Business Development role based in New Delhi. The person in this role will lead the business development strategy, identify new markets and customer segments, and build a strong pipeline of leasing opportunities across multiple asset classes. They will cultivate and manage high-value client and vendor relationships, including key strategic partners such as equipment manufacturers, distributors, and large enterprise customers. The Senior Vice President will drive end-to-end deal cycles, from prospecting and proposal development through financial structuring, contract negotiation, and closure, in close collaboration with credit, legal, and operations teams. They will oversee sales and account management activities, set performance targets, monitor market trends, and refine business plans to achieve sustainable growth. This role will also mentor and develop a high-performing business development team and contribute to continuous improvement of products, processes, and customer experience.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in New Business Development and Sales, with a strong track record of acquiring and growing high-value corporate or institutional clients.
- Demonstrated experience in Business Planning and strategic execution, including market analysis, pipeline management, and revenue forecasting.
- Advanced skills in Contract Negotiation, including structuring complex leasing or financing transactions and collaborating with legal and risk teams.
- Strong background in Account Management, with experience in nurturing long-term client and vendor relationships and driving portfolio growth.
- Extensive leadership experience in leasing, financial services, or related sectors, preferably in equipment or asset-based financing.
- Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving abilities, with comfort working with data and performance metrics.
- Clear and persuasive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills across senior internal and external audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly beneficial.
