Role Overview
We are looking for an accomplished technology executive to lead large-scale digital engineering initiatives across customer-facing and enterprise technology ecosystems. This role will be responsible for driving technology transformation, scaling engineering capabilities, modernizing platforms, and enabling next-generation digital experiences for global users.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong blend of strategic leadership, engineering depth, operational excellence, and business acumen, with the ability to manage large distributed teams and complex enterprise environments.
This role requires someone who can shape long-term technology direction while ensuring strong execution, reliability, scalability, and innovation across all engineering functions.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Vision & Strategy
- Define and execute long-term engineering and platform strategy aligned with organizational growth objectives.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives focused on scalability, modernization, automation, and customer experience enhancement.
- Lead the evolution of enterprise platforms into highly scalable, cloud-native, modular ecosystems.
- Introduce forward-looking technology practices and innovation frameworks to improve engineering efficiency and business impact.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for adoption across platforms and operations.
Engineering Leadership
- Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering organizations across multiple geographies.
- Lead large engineering teams comprising platform engineering, backend, frontend, mobile, infrastructure, QA, DevOps, and architecture functions.
- Create a culture centered around accountability, innovation, collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
- Establish strong leadership pipelines, succession planning, and capability development programs.
- Drive organizational effectiveness through structured operating models, engineering metrics, and governance practices.
Platform Modernization & Architecture
- Lead modernization of legacy systems into scalable, resilient, API-driven architectures.
- Drive adoption of microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and cloud platforms.
- Ensure engineering systems are designed for high availability, performance, security, and operational reliability.
- Standardize engineering frameworks, development practices, release management, and deployment automation.
- Oversee enterprise architecture decisions and ensure alignment with long-term business goals.
AI, Automation & Innovation
- Drive implementation of AI-led initiatives across engineering productivity, customer experience, support operations, and digital platforms.
- Enable intelligent automation across software development lifecycle and operational processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve speed, efficiency, and customer outcomes using advanced technologies.
- Foster experimentation and innovation through pilot programs, proof-of-concepts, and strategic initiatives.
Operational Excellence
- Own engineering delivery, operational governance, and platform stability across mission-critical systems.
- Ensure strong monitoring, observability, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.
- Drive improvements in engineering productivity, release velocity, quality standards, and operational efficiency.
- Establish KPIs and performance frameworks for engineering execution and operational maturity.
- Manage risk related to technology, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and compliance.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with executive leadership, product, operations, customer experience, and business teams to align technology priorities.
- Provide strategic technology guidance to leadership and support organization-wide transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and technology providers to strengthen ecosystem capabilities.
- Influence cross-functional decision-making through strong communication and data-driven insights.
Desired Experience & Expertise
- 20+ years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership roles.
- Proven track record of managing large engineering organizations in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong experience leading globally distributed teams across multiple business functions and geographies.
- Deep understanding of enterprise platforms, large-scale digital ecosystems, and customer-centric technology solutions.
- Expertise in scalable system design, cloud computing, distributed architecture, APIs, and modern engineering practices.
- Hands-on understanding of engineering operations, infrastructure reliability, cybersecurity, and platform governance.
- Experience driving enterprise modernization and transformation programs at scale.
- Strong exposure to AI/ML initiatives, automation programs, or intelligent digital solutions.
- Demonstrated success in scaling organizations, improving engineering maturity, and delivering business-critical technology programs.
- Ability to operate effectively in high-growth, fast-paced, and evolving environments.
