We are looking for a Senior UX Researcher who will help us better understand how users think, feel, and make decisions when interacting with our products and experiences. You will design and run remote research and experiments, analyse insights, and turn findings into recommendations that improve customer experiences, support marketing strategies, and guide product development.
We’re hiring a remote candidate based in either of these locations: New Delhi, Mumbai, or Bangalore.
Main responsibilities:
- Designing, executing and analysing choice and UX experiments which reveal decision making processes, strategies and preferences of users, as well as users’ perceptions
- Implementing user behaviour models/theory to understand problems, find opportunities, discover solutions, and deliver actionable business insights
- Working in partnership with cross-functional teams to aid decision making based on user and consumer insights in different streams (design, optimisation, marketing etc.)
- Writing compelling and actionable reports which tell what matters in experimental data
- Managing our experimental tools including data analysis processes, and output formats
- Guiding and training other researchers in the use of experimental methods and tools
- Supporting our attitudinal/behavioural user research activities when needed, by providing additional capacity and language skills
- Supporting the team’s educational efforts for the wider business
Requirements:
Education:
- Degree(s) in social sciences, such as economics, marketing or sociology
- Completion of courses with topics relevant for the role, such on human perception, behavioral economics, or consumer behavior theory
Work experience:
- 3+ years of work experience in industry or academia with some exposure to validating/testing research, e.g. of new product concepts, web design prototypes, price points, adverts, or menu designs
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Essentials
- Advanced ability to design unmoderated/survey-based research instruments
- At least a medium level of statistics and robust knowledge of a stats engine, such as SPSS, DisplayR or JMP
- Basic understanding of digital marketing assets from a range of channels (media, web, video, social, etc.)
- Skills to communicate insights and learnings in compelling reports and presentations
- Fluency in English
Nice to have
- Basic understanding of UX design techniques and methods
- Working knowledge of neuro-marketing-grade research techniques, e.g.: Eye tracking, preference testing, implicit association testing, facial coding, pupil dilution, skin resistance, and EEG
