Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced US Taxation professional with expertise in individual and business tax filing, bookkeeping, and compliance. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with US tax laws, IRS regulations, and accounting practices, along with strong communication skills to work with US-based clients.
Key Responsibilities:
US Taxation:
- Prepare and review individual tax returns (Form 1040, 1040NR)
- Prepare and review business tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065)
- Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and US tax laws
- Identify deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities
- Handle amended returns, IRS notices, and audit support
Bookkeeping and Accounting:
- Manage bookkeeping using tools like QuickBooks or Xero
- Maintain financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
- Assist in financial reporting and analysis
Business Filings and Compliance:
- Handle US entity formation (LLC, C-Corp, S-Corp)
- Manage EIN applications, BOI filings, and state compliance
- File annual reports and ensure ongoing compliance
- Provide advisory on business structure and taxation
Client Management:
- Communicate with US-based clients via calls, emails, and meetings
- Explain tax positions, filings, and financial insights clearly
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
Required Qualifications:
- 4 to 8+ years of experience in US Taxation and Accounting
- Strong experience in individual and business tax filing
- Experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience working with US clients
Preferred:
- Valid PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number)
- Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of US tax codes and compliance
- Proficiency in accounting and tax software such as QuickBooks, Drake, ProSeries, Lacerte, or UltraTax, or TaxAct.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple clients and tasks
