Concentric Analytics provides research, analytical, and accounting services in the Investment Research field. We specialize in fundamental analysis and investment theses for credit and equity, valuations, monitoring of existing investments, advanced Excel modelling, industry research, and operational benchmarking.
Our accounting services include general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliation. Our clients include investment research firms, such as private equity, real estate firms, alternative investment firms, boutique investment banks, and insurance companies.
Job Title: Senior US Accountant
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra
Job Summary: We are seeking a hands-on Senior US GAAP Accountant to manage end to end accounting and financial reporting. This role requires active involvement in day-to-day accounting execution along with responsibility for managing, training, and reviewing the work of junior accountants. The position combines individual contribution with team leadership to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform and own end to end accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and month end close in compliance with US GAAP.
• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and resolve accounting matters.
• Manage daily workflow of accountants, allocate tasks, monitor timelines, and ensure quality deliverables. • Review work prepared by junior team members, provide structured feedback, and ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.
• Train and develop junior accountants on US GAAP concepts, accounting processes, and best practices.
• Prepare and review management reports, including variance analysis and financial performance insights. • Act as the primary escalation point for accounting issues and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Support onboarding of new clients, or projects and ensure accurate accounting setup and transition.
• Ensure strong documentation, internal controls, and compliance with accounting policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
• CA or CPA qualification preferred. Master’s degree or additional certifications are an added advantage.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in US GAAP accounting with hands on execution responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience in managing, reviewing, and training junior accounting staff.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for reconciliations, analysis, and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
