About the Role
Job Title: Senior Unix System Administrator
Experience: 8+ Years
Location: Bangalore / Hyderabad / Pune / Noida
Work Mode: Hybrid – 2 Days Work From Office
Shift Timing: UKI Shift (Approx. 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM)
We are looking for an experienced Senior Unix System Administrator to manage and lead enterprise-scale AIX and Linux environments across complex IT infrastructures. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in infrastructure delivery, architecture, cloud technologies, migration strategies, automation, and modernization initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end AIX and Linux infrastructure delivery across complex enterprise environments.
- Define infrastructure architecture and guide technical design decisions.
- Ensure high availability, performance optimization, and secure infrastructure implementations.
- Manage and support application, database, and middleware environments.
- Drive complex troubleshooting activities and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
- Design and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) and Cluster solutions.
- Handle capacity planning, deployment governance, and audit compliance activities.
- Lead automation, modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders across onsite/offshore delivery models.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support to infrastructure teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in AIX and Linux Administration with L3 Support expertise or above.
- Strong experience in enterprise infrastructure operations and support.
- Hands-on experience in HA, DR, and Cluster implementations.
- Experience working on infrastructure transformation and migration projects.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and migration technologies.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in AIX and Linux Administration.
- Experience with application, database, and middleware implementation support.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system optimization skills.
- Experience in automation and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Knowledge of change management, audit compliance, and deployment governance.
