Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Senior Tester responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of enterprise applications built on Oracle E‑Business Suite. The role involves leading testing activities across multiple modules, designing comprehensive test strategies, and collaborating with functional and technical teams to deliver high-quality releases.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Strategy
- Define and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases for Oracle EBS implementations and enhancements.
- Lead functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing cycles.
- Estimate testing effort and plan test schedules aligned with project milestones.
Functional Testing
- Perform end-to-end testing across Oracle EBS modules such as:
- Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA) - Mandatory
- Procurement (PO, iProcurement)
- Order Management
- Inventory and Supply Chain
- Validate business workflows, configurations, and integrations.
Test Execution & Defect Management
- Execute manual and automated test cases.
- Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as Jira, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps.
- Coordinate with developers and functional consultants to resolve defects.
Integration & Data Validation
- Validate integrations between Oracle E‑Business Suite and external systems.
- Perform backend validation using Oracle Database and SQL queries.
- Verify data migration and data integrity.
Leadership & Coordination
- Mentor junior testers and review test artifacts.
- Participate in requirement reviews and design walkthroughs.
- Coordinate testing activities across multiple projects/releases.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed test documentation including:
- Test plans
- Test scenarios and cases
- Defect reports
- Test summary reports
- Provide regular quality status updates to stakeholders.
Required Skills
Functional Skills
- Strong experience in Oracle EBS functional testing.
- Knowledge of at least one major Oracle EBS module (Finance / SCM / Procurement).
- Understanding of business processes and ERP workflows.
Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Experience with test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, or TestRail.
- Experience in integration and API testing is an advantage.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work in Agile or Waterfall environments.
Experience & Qualification
- 6–10 years of experience in software testing with 3+ years in Oracle EBS testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Experience in ERP implementation or support projects.
Good to Have
- Automation testing exposure.
- Experience with Oracle EBS upgrades or migrations.
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks.
