Senior Test Engineer (Automation & Performance)
Location: Kerala- Kochi- Hybrid
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will own the end-to-end quality and performance strategy. You’ll design robust Playwright frameworks, lead performance testing efforts using tools like JMeter, and mentor junior engineers while consulting for diverse clients.
Core Responsibilities
- Automation Leadership: Design and maintain Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) E2E frameworks. Integrate AI-driven testing and CI/CD pipelines to optimize execution.
- Performance Engineering: Lead end-to-end performance strategies (Load, Stress, Endurance). Develop JMeter scripts and establish automated performance gates in CI/CD.
- Analysis & Advisory: Monitor system metrics (APM/Logs) to identify bottlenecks. Advise stakeholders on risks, remediation, and architectural improvements.
- Mentorship & Growth: Coach less experienced testers and help mature testing practices within Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments.
Key Requirements
Technical Must-Haves
- Experience: 5+ years in software testing with a Bachelor’s degree (CS or related) and ISTQB Foundation certification.
- Automation: Expert-level Playwright (TS/JS) plus experience in one other tool (Cypress/Selenium).
- Performance: Proven track record with JMeter (or similar), including deep knowledge of HTTP, REST, WebSockets, and performance KPIs.
- Tooling: Proficiency in Jira/Xray and utilizing AI for test case generation and analysis.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
- Cloud & Observability: Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and monitoring stacks (Elastic, Kibana).
- Leadership: Experience building performance testing teams and fostering a "performance-first" culture.
- Advanced Certifications: ISTQB Advanced, Agile Tester, or specialized Performance/Security certifications.
