Role Description
We're looking for a Senior Test Engineer / Test Lead to own the automated test infrastructure for our servo drives. You'll build and maintain a pytest-based framework that runs against physical servo joints and act as the primary technical point of contact for day-to-day testing operations.
Responsibilities
· Run daily regression testing of firmware and software tooling against physical servo joints, ensuring thorough test coverage of our servo drives
· Maintain and operate the servo joint test benches and rack (physical hardware, on-site)
· Own test infrastructure, CI pipelines, and test result reporting, including the nightly test runs across the rack
· Build and evolve the pytest-based automation framework that drives real servo hardware
· Oversee lab safety, equipment procurement, and the technical growth of 3–4 junior engineers
· Drive testing operations independently and mentor the team as the primary technical point of contact
· Working hours follow German office hours; on-site in Kochi.
Required Qualifications
· 3–5 years in embedded systems testing and automation
· Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience in pytest or an equivalent testing framework
· Solid experience with version control (Git)
· Familiarity with CI/CD tooling, specifically GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins
· Standard software engineering practices: code review, documentation, issue tracking
· Comfortable maintaining electromechanical systems: skilled with hand tools (screwdrivers, ratchets, wire strippers), able to work safely with electricity, and some soldering ability
· Fluent written and spoken English
· B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering preferred
Nice to Have
· Experience with motion control, robotics, motor controllers, or similar electromechanical systems
