Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks for Android applications.
  • Create automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Lead automation strategy and identify opportunities to improve test efficiency, coverage, and reliability.
  • Work closely with developers, QA teams, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define test approaches.
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
  • Analyze test results, debug failures, and work with development teams to resolve issues quickly.
  • Ensure software quality for healthcare/medical applications with focus on reliability, compliance, and performance.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level automation engineers and promote QA best practices across the team.
  • Contribute to test planning, estimation, risk assessment, and release readiness activities.

Work Experience

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • BE/BTech in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
  • 7 years of experience in software testing with strong focus on automation testing.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Appium and Python-based automation frameworks.
  • Solid experience testing Android applications.
  • Good understanding of test automation architecture, framework design, and reusable automation components.
  • Experience with functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools, test management tools, and CI/CD environments.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional Agile teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in medical/healthcare software testing is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to performance testing, API testing, and device compatibility testing is a plus.
  • Understanding of regulated software development environments is an advantage.
