We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Recruiter with deep expertise in the US IT staffing market. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience filling contract roles across 1099, C2C, and W2 engagements, with a proven track record of building strong pipelines, sourcing top-tier IT talent, and successfully placing candidates in a variety of technology domains. This role is remote and requires strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute end-to-end recruitment strategies for contract, contract-to-hire, and staff augmentation engagements.
- Source, screen, and present highly qualified IT candidates for a range of roles (software development, data engineering, QA, IT operations, cybersecurity, cloud, ERP, etc.) across 1099, C2C, and W2 contracts.
- Build and maintain robust candidate pipelines leveraging direct sourcing, network referrals, job boards, social platforms, campus programs, and recruiting technologies.
- Create compelling candidate experiences and provide clear, timely communication to candidates and clients throughout the interview and offer process.
- Qualify candidates against client requirements, assess technical skills, cultural fit, and work authorization; conduct initial technical screening and coordinate technical interviews.
- Negotiate offers and terms (rate, billing status, start date) with candidates and client stakeholders; manage onboarding logistics and compliance considerations for contract roles.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and CRM; generate regular recruitment metrics and status reports for leadership and clients.
- Partner with account managers, delivery teams, and hiring managers to understand project needs, timelines, and budget constraints; proactively manage expectations and provide transparent updates.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with top IT talent, including passive candidates, with a focus on long-term partnerships and repeat placements.
- Stay informed about market trends, compensation benchmarks, and regulatory considerations affecting 1099, C2C, and W2 staffing in the US.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of full-cycle IT recruitment experience in the US, with a strong emphasis on contract staffing, staff augmentation, and placement across 1099, C2C, and W2 structures.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining a robust talent network of top IT professionals (developers, engineers, architects, data professionals, IT operations, etc.).
- Deep understanding of US labor laws, classification requirements (1099, W2, C2C), compliance, and onboarding processes for contract roles.
- Proven ability to source and place candidates for a range of contract-to-permanent and long-term engagements.
- Strong interview skills and technical understanding to effectively screen candidates and communicate requirements to clients.
- Excellent negotiation, influence, and closing skills.
- Proficient with ATS/CRM systems (e.g., Bullhorn, Taleo, Greenhouse, Lever, or similar) and recruiting tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, GitHub, Stack Overflow, etc.).
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities; comfortable working with senior-level stakeholders and a globally dispersed talent pool.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, with strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple openings simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Existing network of IT professionals across US markets (e.g., technology hubs like SF Bay Area, NYC, Seattle, Austin, D.C., Raleigh-Durham, Chicago, etc.).
- Experience placing candidates in specialized IT areas (e.g., cloud, cybersecurity, data science, AI/ML, software engineering, DevOps, SAP/ERP, ERP implementations, ERP integrations, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle).
- Demonstrated success in large-scale contract staffing programs or MSP/VMS environments.
- Knowledge of industry certifications and role-specific technical frameworks (e.g., AWS/Azure, Java/.NET, Python, Kubernetes, SQL, ETL/Big Data, security frameworks).
KPIs and Performance Metrics:
- Time-to-fill and candidate-to-opening ratios for contract roles.
- Offer acceptance rate and time-to-start.
- Quality of hires and client satisfaction surveys.
- Pipeline depth and candidate engagement metrics (response rates, interview conversions).
- Compliance and onboarding accuracy for contract placements.
