About the Role
We are seeking a senior Navigation Systems Technical Project Manager with 10–15 years of experience delivering defense-grade navigation systems. This role requires ownership of end-to-end navigation system delivery, spanning hardware, algorithms, system integration, testing, and final MIL-spec acceptance.
What You’ll Do
- Own the end-to-end delivery of navigation systems for defense applications, from requirements definition to final field-ready deployment.
- Lead system-level architecture and integration across navigation sensors, embedded hardware, and algorithmic components.
- Oversee development and validation of multi-sensor navigation solutions, including GNSS, INS, magnetometers, and auxiliary aiding sensors.
- Ensure compliance with MIL-spec and defense standards, including documentation, testing protocols, and acceptance criteria.
- Act as the primary technical authority coordinating between hardware, firmware, algorithm, and systems engineering teams.
- Define project plans, milestones, and deliverables, and actively manage technical risks and dependencies.
- Drive system verification, validation, and field trials, ensuring performance robustness under operational conditions.
- Interface with internal leadership and external stakeholders on technical progress, risks, and delivery status.
- Support the preparation of technical reports, design reviews, and program-level documentation required for defense programs.
Required Technical Skills
Navigation & Algorithms
- Deep understanding of GNSS, inertial navigation systems (INS), and dead-reckoning techniques.
- Strong experience with multi-sensor fusion and state estimation, including Kalman filtering and related methods.
- Practical knowledge of GNSS-denied / degraded navigation strategies.
- Experience modeling sensor errors, drift, and system-level uncertainty.
Hardware & Systems
- Hands-on familiarity with navigation hardware, including IMUs, magnetometers, and embedded processing platforms.
- Experience with hardware–software co-design and system-level performance optimization.
- Understanding of environmental, thermal, vibration, and reliability constraints in defense deployments.
Project & Leadership Experience
- Proven track record of delivering defense or MIL-grade navigation systems.
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams across hardware, algorithms, and integration.
- Strong capability in managing complex technical schedules, risks, and deliverables.
- Ability to translate high-level defense requirements into executable technical plans and
- validated systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related discipline.
- 10–15 years of experience in navigation systems, sensor fusion, or defense technology programs.
- Demonstrated experience delivering MIL-spec or equivalent defense projects is mandatory.
Role Significance
This role is central to ensuring that QuBeats’ navigation technologies progress from development to fully validated, mission-ready defense systems. The position combines technical authority with delivery ownership, making it critical to the success of high-stakes, real-world deployments.
Personal Attributes
- Strong problem-solving and experimental troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Willingness to work in laboratory and field deployment conditions as required by the project.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to pioneer AI-driven quantum sensing and navigation technologies in India.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary R&D team of physicists, engineers, and AI researchers.
- Access to cutting-edge datasets and hardware infrastructure.
- Competitive compensation, milestone bonuses, and IP participation opportunities.
