Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Technical Photoshop Retoucher role based in Chennai. The Senior Technical Photoshop Retoucher will handle advanced image editing, including color correction, compositing, masking, retouching, and file preparation for print and packaging applications. The role involves working closely with designers, prepress teams, and production to ensure that all images meet technical standards, brand guidelines, and print specifications. Daily responsibilities include managing high-volume retouching projects, maintaining organized file structures, ensuring consistent quality across campaigns, and troubleshooting issues related to image resolution, color profiles, and output formats. The individual will also contribute to workflow improvements, mentor junior retouchers, and collaborate on best practices for delivering print-ready visual assets.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Adobe Photoshop and other relevant image editing tools, with advanced skills in retouching, color correction, masking, and compositing.
- Practical knowledge of print and packaging production workflows, including file preparation, color management (CMYK, ICC profiles), and print-ready output standards.
- Experience working in premedia or prepress environments, with the ability to interpret and apply technical specifications, dielines, and brand guidelines.
- Excellent attention to detail, visual accuracy, and consistency, with strong time management skills to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and provide constructive feedback to peers and junior team members.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Printing Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior experience in the print and packaging industry or with FMCG/retail packaging is highly beneficial.
- Willingness to work on-site in Chennai and adapt to evolving tools, standards, and industry technologies.
