Job Role:
We are seeking an accomplished
Senior Technical Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of Corporate Applications supporting Legal, HR, Actuarial, Asset & Liability Management, Risk & Compliance, Corporate Finance, and other enterprise business functions. The successful candidate will manage a 15–20-member cross-functional team, driving delivery excellence, engineering governance, operational stability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Leadership & Execution
- Accountable for Agile Delivery & Execution: Expert in Agile principles and delivery, responsible for orchestrating the execution of work, facilitating Agile ceremonies (Scrum of Scrums, ART Syncs), and ensuring teams deliver on commitments.
- Delivery Leadership: Provides oversight for delivery teams (e.g., Scrum Masters, Project Managers), manages dependencies, removes impediments, and drives operational excellence.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Corporate Applications across multiple business domains
- Own sprint planning, release execution, roadmap prioritization, and delivery governance
- Drive delivery metrics like DORA, etc., engineering scorecards, risks, dependency management, and executive reporting
- Ensure engineering discipline, compliance, and audit readiness
- Process & Governance: Facilitates alignment of outcomes, initiatives, and features to business platforms, manages Agile portfolio operations, and ensures lean governance. Oversees alignment with strategic objectives and promotes agile principles throughout the organization.
Team Leadership & People Management
- Lead a 15–20 member team across development, QA, BA, and DevOps roles
- Build high-performing teams through coaching, setting expectations, and skill uplift
- Foster a culture of accountability, engineering quality, and continuous learning
- Resource & Capacity Management: Partners with business managers and platform directors for resource assignments, capacity planning, and transition of work across teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Coaches teams on Agile best practices, measures delivery effectiveness, and drives improvement in delivery
AI, Automation & Productivity Enablement (Essential)
- Implement and drive usage of AI and GenAI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, AWS Bedrock Agents, M365 Copilot Studio)
- Adopt and operationalize RPA and automation frameworks for repetitive tasks, testing, operational runbooks, and documentation
- Design and deploy agentic workflows to improve requirements management, code generation, testing, reporting, and operational activities
- Leverage data-driven insights and AI-based monitoring to improve throughput and reduce defects
- Establish governance, usage guidelines, and measurable productivity improvements using AI tooling
Stakeholder & Business Management
- Act as the primary delivery partner for business leaders across Legal, HR, Actuarial, Finance, ALM, Risk & Compliance
- Convert business needs into actionable technology programs
- Provide transparent communication on timelines, risks, budgets, and outcomes
- Ensure alignment across business portfolios, tech leads, and enterprise architects
Technology, Architecture & Quality Oversight
- Oversee technical execution across Java, .NET, SharePoint, ETL, batch systems, SQL databases, CI/CD tooling, etc.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards
- Drive test automation, CI/CD adoption, cloud modernization, and technical debt reduction
Operational Excellence
- Oversee 24x7 application stability, incident management, RCA, SLAs, and service excellence
- Reduce manual activities through AI-driven automation, process improvements, and self-healing mechanisms
- Implement observability, dashboards, and governance models for corporate applications
Budget, Vendor & Resource Management
- Own budgeting, resource planning, and vendor governance
- Optimize onsite/offshore capacity and manage vendor deliverables
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts, tools, and technology services
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 15+ years of overall IT experience with strong delivery and engineering background
- 5–7 years in Delivery Management, Engineering Leadership, or Technical Program Management
- Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Engineering/Computer Science (or equivalent)
- Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams of 15–20+ members
- Strong understanding of:
- Java/Python/Full Stack ecosystems
- SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL
- Jenkins, TFS, Git, Ansible
- Autosys, Zeke, ETL tools
- Mandatory experience in implementing AI, GenAI, Copilot, RPA, and automation solutions to improve productivity and delivery outcomes
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with senior leadership
- Experience working with global teams and offshore delivery models
- Proficiency in DORA metrics and other industry-standard engineering excellence practices
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on engineering or architecture background
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and modernization programs
- Knowledge of service management, ITIL, and SRE practices
- Ability to drive innovation programs and automation roadmaps
