10th House is a Melbourne headquartered offshore resourcing firm that partners with leading Australian mortgage broking, accounting, financial planning, and SMSF practices. As we scale our Ahmedabad delivery team, we are looking for a Senior Team Lead who can take complete ownership of our Mortgage Operations vertical, run delivery for multiple Australian broker clients, and mentor a growing team of loan processors.
About the Role
This is a senior, client facing, operations leadership role. You will lead, coach, and review the work of a team of loan processors, run weekly and monthly client review meetings with Australian mortgage brokers, own delivery quality and turnaround across all files, and step in personally whenever a complex scenario, escalation, or service recovery situation arises. You will be the single point of accountability for our mortgage broking delivery on the floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and quality review a team of 5 to 10 loan processors handling residential and commercial files for Australian broker clients.
- Run periodic client review meetings (weekly catch ups, monthly business reviews, quarterly deep dives) directly with broker principals and their support managers in Australia.
- Own end to end delivery: capacity planning, file allocation, SLAs, turnaround times, accuracy, and audit readiness across the team.
- Step in personally on complex scenarios, policy interpretation, exception cases, escalations, and any matter that needs senior judgement.
- Drive strong process discipline across aggregator platforms (Mercury, Salestrekker, Podium, BrokerEngine, Loanapp, ApplyOnline) and lender portals.
- Work closely with the founder and Australian client managers on onboarding new brokers, building SOPs, and continuously lifting service standards.
- Coach the team on NCCP, Best Interests Duty, serviceability, credit policy nuances, and clean file packaging across major banks, second tier, and non bank lenders.
- Manage remote and distributed team dynamics with strong communication, structured reporting, and zero surprises culture toward clients.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of hands on experience in Australian mortgage loan processing, with at least 2+ years in a team lead, supervisor, or senior processor role.
- Demonstrated experience managing a team of 5 or more, ideally in an offshore, remote, or hybrid environment.
- Strong client facing communication skills, comfortable running review meetings and difficult conversations directly with Australian brokers.
- Deep, practical knowledge of the entire Australian mortgage broking process, from initial fact find to settlement and post settlement.
- Working fluency across multiple aggregator platforms and major lender policies.
- Strong grasp of NCCP, Best Interests Duty, responsible lending, and broker compliance frameworks.
- Excellent written and spoken English. Calm, structured, and accountable under pressure.
