Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Talend Developer with strong expertise in ETL development, advanced SQL, and PeopleSoft data systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing complex data integration pipelines within a highly structured enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Talend
- Build and optimize complex SQL queries for large-scale enterprise databases
- Extract, transform, and load data from PeopleSoft systems into downstream applications
- Perform data mapping, transformation, and validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with business and functional teams to understand data requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve ETL and data-related issues in production environments
- Optimize performance of ETL jobs and database queries
- Support data migration and integration initiatives involving legacy systems
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Talend Data Integration (ETL development)
- Advanced SQL skills (joins, CTEs, window functions, query optimization)
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle preferred)
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake schema)
- Experience working with PeopleSoft data structures and tables
- Knowledge of performance tuning and indexing strategies
Additional Skills (Good to have)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Familiarity with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop)
- Scripting knowledge (Python / Shell)
- Exposure to APIs and REST-based integrations
Experience Required
- 5+ years of experience in ETL / Data Integration roles
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Talend
- Proven experience working with complex enterprise systems like PeopleSoft
