Role Description The Senior System Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mohali district. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT systems and infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security. The Senior System Engineer will handle advanced system administration tasks, including configuration, upgrades, and monitoring across servers, networks, and related platforms. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing escalation-level technical support, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on system design and optimization. The role also includes documenting configurations and procedures, contributing to IT strategy, and mentoring team members on best practices and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Strong Systems Engineering and Systems Design skills to architect, implement, and optimize complex IT infrastructures.
- Hands-on System Administration experience across servers, operating systems, and virtualized environments.
- Advanced Troubleshooting capabilities for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Proven Technical Support experience, including escalation handling and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools, backup and recovery solutions, and security best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant industry certifications (such as Microsoft, Linux, VMware, or networking certifications) are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in the Mohali district, manage multiple priorities, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
