Job Description
Quality Assurance Engineering (3-6 years of experience):
- We are looking for a hands-on QA Engineer with deep expertise in Playwright to build reliable, maintainable, and scalable automated test suites for web applications.
- This position requires working closely with the Business Unit (BU) to understand the requirements,
- You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and DevOps to raise product quality
- Prepare Test Scenarios, Test cases/Test Scripts and Execute the Test cases/Test Scripts
- Should be capable of supporting Go-Live and Post-Production events.
What You Will Do
- Tester review software requirements and technical specifications to understand what the software is supposed to do
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end (E2E) UI test automation using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript or Python).
- Implement cross-browser testing (Chrome, Firefox) and multi-device coverage (desktop/mobile emulation).
- Design test plans and write test cases that cover all aspects of the application, including functionality, performance, and usability.
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps/Jenkins), enabling fast, deterministic feedback
- Run manual or automated tests to check if the software behaves correctly under various conditions.
- Document any issues or bugs found during testing and report them to the development team with clear steps to reproduce.
What You Will Need To Have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent field, or relevant work experience.
- 3-6 years of QA experience with strong UI automation background.
- Playwright hands-on expertise:
- Page Object Model, fixtures, test retries, parallel runs, test isolation.
- Playwright Test runner, Trace Viewer, Video/Har artifacts, network stubbing, and Playwright code agents (judiciously).
- Strong programming fundamentals in TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Good knowledge of SDLC and QA practices and Hands-on exposure
- Exposure to Online Banking Domain
- Hands-on in functional, regression, Automation Testing
- Exposure to QA tools (Bug Tracking, Test Management, Script Management, etc)
- Experience in creating test cases, test scripts and executing them
- Exposure to Metrics (Defect, Test Execution), status reports and exit reports
What Would Be Great To Have
- Certifications in relevant fields (e.g., ISTQB, Playwright).
- Component/integration testing with Playwright Component Testing,
- Prior exposure to Agile or DevOps practices within a testing environment.
- Understanding of the Payments and Banking domain.
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset, with a skill for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
