About Mailin
Mailin is a private email infrastructure platform built for high-volume outbound teams, agencies, and SaaS companies. We provision and manage dedicated servers, IPs, domains, and mail systems at scale, with a heavy focus on deliverability, reliability, and automation.
We’re looking for a hands-on Sys Admin who is comfortable owning production infrastructure and keeping large systems stable, fast, and clean.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Linux servers (VPS, VDS, bare metal) at scale
- Provision, configure, and harden mail servers and related services
- Monitor system health, uptime, disk usage, load, queues, and logs
- Troubleshoot mail delivery issues including bounces, throttling, and reputation problems
- Manage DNS configurations including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, rDNS
- Handle IP management, warmups, rotations, and reputation monitoring
- Automate repetitive infrastructure tasks using scripts or tooling
- Work closely with deliverability and product teams to support large sending volumes
- Respond to incidents and production issues quickly and calmly
- Maintain clear documentation for setups, processes, and fixes
Requirements
- Strong Linux system administration experience (Ubuntu preferred)
- Solid understanding of email infrastructure and SMTP fundamentals
- Experience with mail servers (Postfix, Exim, or similar)
- Deep knowledge of DNS and email authentication standards
- Comfortable working with cloud providers and hosting companies
- Experience managing hundreds or thousands of mailboxes is a big plus
- Ability to debug issues using logs, headers, and server metrics
- Strong ownership mindset and attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Experience with Mailcow, iRedMail, or custom mail stacks
- Familiarity with IP reputation tools (Talos, Spamhaus, SenderScore, etc.)
- Experience scaling outbound or cold email infrastructure
- Bash or Python scripting experience
- Experience working with agencies or high-volume senders
