Profile requirement – 

System Administrator for managing new rollout and operations of Private Cloud & Public Cloud Technology Along with Windows-Linux Infra in IT INFRA Department of Yes Securities

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Servers Core Responsibilities:

1.     Proven experience as a Server Administrator or similar role for Windows / Linux based Servers.

2.     Configuration of servers, operating systems administration, hardening, load balancers, firewall including but not limited to management of users, processes, resource contention, preventive maintenance and management of updates & patches to ensure that the system is properly updated

3.     Periodic health check of the systems, troubleshooting problems, analyzing and implementing rectification measures

4.     Implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures for maintenance of the infrastructure

5.     Knowledge of system security (VA/CA) and data backup/recovery

6.     Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes

7.     Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements

8.     Upgrade/ patching of systems with new releases and models time to time.

9.     Maintain code repository server and access configuration

10. Maintain cloud infrastructure, application and database backup.

11. Configure and Maintain Server scaling and High Availability & Disaster Recovery

 

VMware & Nutanix Virtualization Infrastructure Responsibilities:

1.     Installation and Configuration: Deploy, install, configure, and upgrade VMware software and virtualization platforms based on IT requirements.

2.     Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to VMware infrastructure, including virtual machines, ESXi hosts, vCenter servers, and networking components.

3.     Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of VMware environments to ensure efficient resource utilization and high availability.

4.     Security: Implement security best practices to protect virtualized environments from threats and vulnerabilities.

5.     Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for virtualized systems, ensuring data integrity and business continuity.

6.     Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for VMware infrastructure.

7.     Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to Internal teams, addressing their VMware-related concerns and inquiries.

8.     Capacity Planning: Assess and plan for future capacity requirements, recommending hardware and software upgrades as needed.

9.     Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to integrate VMware solutions into the overall IT infrastructure.

 

 

Cloud Computing Responsibilities:

 

1.     Designing the cloud environment for a company based on its requirements

2.     Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the cloud environment

3.     Collaborating with other technology team members to complete projects

4.     Creating cloud-based applications that are efficient and secure

5.     Converting the technical requirements of projects into suitable architecture

6.     Ensuring cloud solutions and operations are reliable

7.     Staying abreast of new technologies and trends in cloud computing

8.     Programming, including experience with several programming languages

9.     Automating processes and working with legacy information systems

10. Knowledge of Java, Node.js, PHP, Python, and Ruby on Rails

11. Ability to integrate several parts of an organization’s IT system in one place

12. Understanding how databases, networks, and other critical functions work

13. Proficiency in IT security to protect information in the cloud from unauthorized internal users and malicious external hackers

 

Skills and Experience:

• 5-6years of experience in Windows-Linux-Virtualization engineering.

• Professional certifications such as Microsoft, REDHAT, VMware , Nutanix & AWS

• In-depth knowledge of Virtualization & Cloud Computing

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication and documentation skills. 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• * Any Graduate, B.E, BCA, MCA
