Role Description This is a full-time Senior Structural Design Engineer (Precast) role based in Ahmedabad, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home. The role involves leading structural design for precast concrete elements, including boundary walls, drains, culverts, and retaining walls, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. He should also be having the knowledge for BOQ Preparation, quote for the received BOQ from client etc. The Senior Structural Design Engineer will perform detailed structural analysis and calculations, prepare and review design drawings, and coordinate closely with CAD teams to translate design requirements into accurate shop and erection drawings. The role includes collaborating with project managers, site engineers, and production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, safety, and cost efficiency, as well as supporting technical approvals, client presentations, and design documentation. The individual will also mentor junior engineers, contribute to design process improvements, and support quality assurance and design-related troubleshooting during project execution.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with proven experience in designing precast concrete structures.
- Proficiency in Structural Analysis, including load calculations, design of structural members, and familiarity with relevant Indian and international design codes.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and AutoCAD for preparing and reviewing structural drawings and detailing precast components.
- Ability to integrate structural design with production and site constraints, ensuring practical, cost-effective, and safe solutions for industrial, infrastructure, and commercial projects.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Experience in precast or pre-stressed concrete design, preferably in boundary walls, drains, culverts, or similar products.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Comfort with hybrid work arrangements in Ahmedabad, including site visits and coordination with manufacturing units as required.
