Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Storage Engineer (L3) with extensive hands-on experience in data center storage implementation. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise across leading enterprise storage solutions and be capable of handling complex deployment and integration tasks.

Note: This role is for implementation engineers only — not for storage administrators.

Key Responsibilities

• Storage Provisioning: Creating and allocating storage volumes (LUNs, shares, etc.), zoning and masking (SAN), and setting up file systems (NFS, SMB, iSCSI).
• Storage Installation & Configuration: Initial setup of storage arrays (NetApp, Pure Storage, Dell EMC, etc.), RAID configuration, controller setup, and firmware/OS upgrades.
• Performance & Monitoring: Monitoring IOPS, throughput, latency, and performing bottleneck analysis, tuning, and capacity forecasting.
• Backup & Recovery: Snapshot management, integration with backup tools (Commvault, Veeam, Rubrik), replication (local/remote), and restore verification.
• Data Migration: Executing migrations between arrays or to the cloud with minimal downtime, ensuring validation and data integrity.
• Storage Security: Implementing access control, encryption, and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Configuring replication and failover systems, DR planning/testing, and geo-redundancy setup.
• Cloud & Virtualization Integration: Working with VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix vSAN, AWS EBS, and Azure Disks.
• Troubleshooting & Incident Response: Diagnosing storage issues, handling hardware failures, and analyzing logs for root-cause resolution.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in storage implementation within a data center environment.
• Hands-on expertise with Dell EMC, HPE, Hitachi, IBM, and Pure Storage systems.
• Strong knowledge of storage provisioning, RAID, replication, migration, and disaster recovery.
• Ability to manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
