A global clinical research organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Statistical Programmer to support complex clinical studies and deliver high-quality statistical programming solutions across global research projects.
This role is ideal for professionals with strong SAS programming expertise, clinical trial experience, and the ability to lead programming activities across multiple studies within a fast-paced CRO or pharmaceutical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, validate, and maintain statistical programs for clinical trial analysis and reporting
- Create analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures (TLFs) for complex studies
- Integrate and manage datasets from multiple studies and sources
- Lead programming activities for individual studies or portfolios of studies
- Develop programming specifications, documentation, and validation plans
- Support database quality control and data transfer activities
- Build and improve SAS macros, automation tools, and programming processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, sponsors, and external stakeholders
- Provide mentorship, training, and technical guidance to junior programmers
- Support project planning, forecasting, timelines, and resource management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Life Sciences, or related field
- 8+ years of statistical programming experience within CRO, biotech, or pharmaceutical environments
- Advanced expertise in Base SAS, SAS Macro, and SAS Graph
- Strong understanding of clinical trial processes and statistical analysis workflows
- Experience creating analysis datasets and clinical study outputs
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within tight timelines
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
