Responsibilities
- As part of the security team at GigSky, you will be keeping an eye on the security posture of diverse areas of the company : networks, servers, user devices, cloud, code, employee education, platform, incidents, etc.
- You will find the areas of effort which will have maximum impact on security and assess, discuss, design, plan and either implement the changes yourself, or work with the right team to get it done.
- GigSky has compliance and regulatory security requirements which need to be met. So, you will need to ensure audits, processes and procedures are in place, and are functioning. Expect paperwork to be involved.
- You will work on incident response, analysis of attacks and handle security alerts.
- Security reviews will need to be done for new platform features at the design stage to ensure security is factored into development at an early stage.
- You will conduct periodic recon, pen tests and scans of all public facing infrastructure to see the attacker's perspective and act on the what you find.
- Educating and guiding employees to safer computing is part of the job. You will need to establish a rapport with the various teams and understand their concerns and perspective.
Requirements:
- A whitehat with two or more areas in security where they are technically very strong. Both talent and experience are respected.
- You should be ready to fix problems. Ready to put in the work needed to get things done. Not just report issues.
- Someone who is ready to work on multiple aspects of security. We welcome and will support specialization efforts. But the job will primarily be general work.
- Strong OS fundamentals in Linux. Android or iOS knowledge is a plus.
- Good knowledge of networking fundamentals and web protocols is a must.
