Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in cloud
infrastructure, Kubernetes, AWS, Infrastructure as Code, security, and production operations.
In this role, you will own and improve OLake’s deployment systems, infrastructure reliability,
security posture, compliance readiness, and operational practices.
What You’ll Work On
● Own and manage Helm chart releases for OLake components including UI, Worker, Temporal, PostgreSQL, and NFS.
● Lead Kubernetes cluster operations across RBAC, pod lifecycle management, autoscaling, monitoring, logging, upgrades, and production troubleshooting.
● Drive SOC2 and ISO 27001 compliance efforts across infrastructure, including:
○ Evidence collection
○ Access reviews
○ Audit logging
○ Secrets rotation
○ Infrastructure policy enforcement
○ Remediation tracking
● Maintain, extend, and improve Infrastructure as Code programs using Pulumi and Terraform to provision and manage:
○ AWS VPC
○ EKS
○ RDS
○ Networking
○ Multi-region infrastructure
● Design and manage AWS IAM, IRSA policies, Secrets Manager, KMS, and least-privilege access patterns.
● Own networking and infrastructure connectivity, including:
○ Self-managed OpenVPN
○ Site-to-Site VPN
○ ALB
○ HAProxy ingress
○ DNS
○ Routing
○ Security group management
● Improve CI/CD and GitOps workflows for reliable deployments, rollback strategies, environment promotion, and infrastructure automation.
● Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, production debugging, and long-term reliability improvements.
● Mentor junior engineers and help define best practices for cloud infrastructure, deployment, observability, and security.
Required Skills
● 4+ years of hands-on DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure
experience.
● Strong production experience with Kubernetes, including:
○ Deployments
○ Services
○ Ingress
○ Namespaces
○ RBAC
○ Autoscaling
○ Observability
○ Troubleshooting
● Strong working knowledge of AWS services such as:
○ EC2
○ VPC
○ IAM
○ EKS
○ RDS
○ S3
○ Secrets Manager
○ KMS
○ CloudWatch
○ AWS networking components
● Experience managing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform OR Pulumi or similar tools.
● Strong Linux fundamentals, shell scripting, debugging skills and comfort working with production systems.
● Hands-on experience with Helm charts, values.yaml, templating, release management and environment-specific configuration.
● Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, deployment automation, and rollback strategies.
● Experience with infrastructure security practices including:
○ IAM least privilege
○ Secrets management
○ Encryption
○ Audit logging
○ Compliance support
● Comfort reading Go code and navigating a Go codebase to understand service behavior, configuration, and deployment requirements.
● Ability to debug complex infrastructure issues across application, network, Kubernetes,
and cloud layers.
