Sr. Site Reliability Engineer || 5 - 10 Years Experience || Hyderabad

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize virtualized environments (VMs) and Docker-based workloads on bare metal.
• Handle middleware systems such as Nginx, Redis, and Kafka.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Manage configurations using Git-based version control.
• Ensure system reliability, high availability, and performance tuning.
• Perform Linux system administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Automate processes using Ansible and Shell scripting.
• Manage networking components including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and WAF.
• Handle security, compliance, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and system improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Security, and Application teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Infrastructure

• Strong experience in Linux system administration
• Experience with on-premise data center environments
• Knowledge of virtualization (VMware/KVM) and bare metal provisioning

Containers & Middleware

• Hands-on experience with Docker (non-Kubernetes preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Nginx, Redis, Kafka, RDBMS, and Java

Observability & Reliability

• Experience with ELK Stack, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Ability to manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
• Understanding of MTTD, MTTR, and incident response

CI/CD & Version Control

• Experience with Git and Jenkins (pipelines, automation)

Networking & Security

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing)
• Experience with firewalls, WAFs, and secure environments

Automation

• Hands-on experience with Ansible and Shell scripting

Operations

• Experience in monitoring, incident management, and capacity planning

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Payments / UPI domain
• Understanding of high TPS and low-latency systems
• Exposure to storage systems (Ceph/SAN) and HA/DR architectures
• Experience in regulated environments (PCI-DSS, RBI guidelines)
