ROLE SUMMARY
Sr. Sourcing Manager is responsible for maintaining relevant purchasing data in various systems, providing support and training to stakeholders in using various systems, executing Direct /Indirect purchasing strategy within area of responsibility, and work with internal and external stake holders for on time delivery to the user function. Working on cost competitiveness and long terms sustainable strategy. Their strategic leadership in supplier management and process optimization is vital to achieving vertical integration and sustaining a competitive advantage. Primary responsibility includes Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing both domestic and international & Localization Initiatives for stamping & aluminium extrusions.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sr. Sourcing Manager responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Supplier Management & Performance Tracking
-Implement rigorous qualification processes, ensuring that selected suppliers meet performance standards
-Build and nurture positive relations with suppliers driving performance improvements to ensure product quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
-Track supplier KPIs and performance trends identifying areas for improvement. Outcomes to be evaluated through metrics such as supplier yield, field cost, field defect rate, supplier quality plan engagement/effectiveness & corrective and preventative action closure
-Conduct regular supplier audits- ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
-Collaborate with suppliers to identify areas for cost improvement and overall supply chain efficiency.
Market Research/Supplier Development
-Conduct market research in order to identify sources and suppliers
-Assess new and existing supplier capability to meet product, cost, quality and production requirements
-Conduct benchmark studies in order to identify best practices, emerging trends within the industry and provide insights for improvement.
-Lead supplier capacity studies to ensure supplier can respond to market demand effectively.
Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement
-Analyze vendor related processes to identify areas of inefficiency, bottlenecks or redundancies that impact efficient operations.
-Develop standardized procedures and workflows for vendor onboarding, performance evaluation, and communication
-Leverage lean methodologies (I.e. value mapping, 5S and Kanban), supplier scorecards and in order eliminate waste, improve efficiency and drive overall operational performance.
- Conduct root cause analysis of ad-hoc and recurring problems and implement targeted process improvement solutions that improve the quality and reliability of sourcing activities.
-Proactively seek feedback from vendors, stakeholders and internal teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes to drive ongoing optimization.
Cross functional collaboration
-Collaborate with engineering (Design and Manufacturing) to establish process parameters and criteria, ensuring supplier process capability can effectively meet product and process requirements.
- Communicate with and coach the Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering and Procurement organizations to drive cost effective improvements to Quality and Manufacturing processes, minimizing waste.
-Provide leadership during the investigation of major problems or special projects, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business disruption.
-Liaise with internal teams and vendors to support successful new product launches and milestone achievements, ensuring supplier capabilities align with project requirements and timelines.
Budget/Cost Management
-Develop budgets for projects and activities, considering factors such as resource requirements, project timelines and cost estimates.
-Conduct cost analysis and cost-benefit evaluations for vendor development initiatives, assessing ROI
-Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and financial objectives.
-Negotiate pricing agreements and favorable terms to optimize costs while maintaining quality and service levels.
-Provide regular updates and reports on budget performance, cost saving initiatives and financial projections to relevant stakeholders

KEY EXPERIENCES, QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE
- B.E in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics & Communication / Automobile
- Experience: 15 - 20 years as Strategic Sourcing and operational purchasing (SCM) of both direct & indirect material
- Preference: From Manufacturing industry
- Knowledge on purchasing of indirect materials and direct materials like stamping, molding, plating & special processes like heat treatment, surface treatment.
- Excellent computer skills (ERP like QAD/SAP/Macola, Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
- Innovative and proactive thinking with good negotiation skills, analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills both in written and verbal.
- Collaborative working with internal and external stakeholders

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities:
- In line with the framework of Global procedure and Business strategy, develop Direct & Indirect material suppliers domestically as part of localization, & service providers and manages them efficiently to ensure smooth functioning of regular operations
- Develop category strategy including market and industry analysis for Direct & Indirect materials
- Have hands on experience in Capex and Opex purchasing for manufacturing industry
- Able to understand the technical requirements from internal and external stake holders to get the right machinery/equipment/fixtures
- Work with global suppliers on cost, quality & delivery improvements
- Knowledge in ABC classification and prioritize the activity to meet the operational demand for indirect suppliers
- Establish and maintain supplier relationships and facilitate periodic business reviews to continually identify process improvements and cost reduction opportunities
- Work closely with concerned stake holders to develop suppliers for direct and indirect materials
- Process Purchase requisitions and update management on status of the same on timely manner and escalation in case of delay
- Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
- Meet the cost, product quality and timeliness targets to adhere project launch timeliness
- Prepare budget and spend analyses for the purchase parts and report to Sourcing Manager on daily/weekly/monthly frequency as Purchase analyst and cost monitoring
- Following up with direct material supplier for the regular supplies and ensure to feed the production line without any interruption.
- Manage complex projects from concept through implementation including change management process
- Coordinate with inventory team, Planner team to manage the direct material supplies
- Assess the quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
- Ability to travel.
