About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans ensuring product quality, performance, and reliability. The role involves both manual and automated testing, with a focus on database impact, usability, regression, and real-world performance validation.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test plans, scenarios, and scripts for new products or updates.
- Perform manual and automated testing across UI, API, and database layers.
- Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with developers for resolution.
- Maintain test documentation, reports, and defect databases.
- Develop and maintain automated testing tools and environments.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards and smooth releases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
Required Skills
- 4-7 years of hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks, including design, implementation, and maintenance of test automation solutions.
- Proficiency in coding and modifying complex automated software testing programs at system and front-end levels using Robot Framework, TestNG, Python and related libraries.
- Experience with system controllers (scanners preferred), simulators, and emulators.
- Proficiency with Atlassian suite (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence), test management tools (TestRail), version control systems (Git, Subversion), and CI/CD integration tools (Jenkins).
- Proficiency in containerisation and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of software development processes, testing methodologies, and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document test cases and results clearly and collaborate effectively across teams.
