Role: Senior Software Engineer / Architect — Modernisation Services (AI-Augmented Development)
📍 East Bangalore (hybrid)
💰 ₹25–35 Lakh per annum, depending on experience

This is a senior software engineering role, not an AI/ML role. We are looking for experienced software engineers and architects who use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Gemini, Codex, Cursor, and similar) as a core part of how they ship software — not engineers whose background is in building AI/ML models, training LLMs, or working on data science pipelines.
If your primary experience is in AI/ML engineering, model training, RAG pipelines, or AI product development, this role is not the right fit. If you are a senior full-stack or backend engineer/architect who has meaningfully integrated AI tools into your daily workflow, please read on.
Role Overview
You'll join our Modernisation Services team, transforming legacy enterprise systems into modern, scalable, cloud-native architectures. The work is hands-on software engineering — designing microservices, building APIs, modernising frontends, shipping cloud-native solutions — supercharged by AI-assisted development workflows and multi-agent coding tools.
You'll bring deep software craft from a long career building production systems, and combine it with fluency in modern AI development tooling to ship faster and at higher quality than traditional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Modernise legacy applications into scalable, cloud-native architectures alongside our existing teams
- Design and implement microservices-based systems and robust APIs
- Architect and develop solutions in Java, .NET, or JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems
- Build and maintain frontend applications using React, Angular, or Vue
- Develop and operate cloud-native solutions using modern DevOps practices
- Use AI coding tools and multi-agent development workflows as a core part of your day-to-day engineering
- Help the wider team get more leverage from AI-assisted development through example, pairing, and shared practice
- Collaborate with global teams and stakeholders across the US, UK, and EU
- Uphold high standards of code quality, scalability, security, and performance
- Mentor engineers and contribute to architectural decision-making
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years as a Software Engineer and/or Software Architect, with strong hands-on experience in at least one of: Java, .NET, or JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js)
- Proven experience with at least one modern frontend framework: React, Angular, or Vue
- Deep expertise in API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Solid DevOps background: CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code
- Demonstrable, day-to-day use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini, Codex, or similar) on real production work — not just experimentation. We will ask you about this in detail.
- Comfort with multi-agent AI coding workflows and the ability to orchestrate them for engineering productivity
- Fluent English (spoken and written) — mandatory
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with clients or companies in the US, UK, or EU
- Experience leading large-scale system modernisation or digital transformation programmes
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems
- Strong architectural and system design capabilities
Work Model
- Location: East Bangalore (office-based)
- 4 days/week in office during probation
- 3 days/week in office post-probation
