Position: Senior Software Engineer

Key responsibilities
- Work with agile (Scrum) mindset and thought process that will involve understanding, collaborating, learning, and staying flexible to achieve high-performing results.
- Application maintenance and support. Debug application code to analyse and solve business critical issues.
- Adopt the Rhelp standards to deliver good quality and efficient software, according to business requirements within the given time frame.
- Understand the user requirements, identify solutions and unit test services that support business requirements.
- Drive all changes through all steps until deployment and after installation support phases.
- Ensure compliance with relevant IT Services processes, methods and tools, and business processes.
- Secure that the necessary and relevant documentation, review and audits are performed for the developed modules.
- Create good practices and propose improvements.
Required Competencies
Mandatory Skills:
- IBM Mainframe, COBOL, JCL
- Any one Mainframe database
- Excellent Analytical and Problem solving skills are required
Good to Have Technical Skills:
- IMS DB/DC
- DB2
- ENDEVOR
- WMQ
- z/OS Connect and RESTful APIs
- IBM API Connect
- File Manager, Fault Analyzer
- ServiceNow tool (ITSM)
- Agile methodology
Good to Have Domain Skills:
- Automotive/Service Market business domain
Mandatory Soft Skills:
- Ability to perform as an Individual Contributor
- Ability to technically guide and support team members within area of responsibility
- Good Written and Verbal Communication skills
- Organized approach for driving activities and tasks associated
Minimum Years Of Experience Required
- 4 to 10 Years with hands on experience as Software Engineer in Mandatory Skillsets.
Minimum Education Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Science, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities

Your future duties and responsibilities
Good to have
- Experience with scaled agile ways of working
- Hands on experience MQ/RESTful API integrations in zOS Connect
- Knowledge of IMS DB/DC is strongly preferred, though not mandatory
- Knowledge in OPC/IBM TWS
- Experience with RDz is an added advantage
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
