We are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer who excels at tackling complex technical problems and shipping high-impact features. You will contribute to building AI-driven products that reshape how people learn and develop. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality execution that ensures scalability, maintainability, and measurable impact.

- TeachTap: Uses AI to animate historical figures within a TikTok-style learning platform.
- TeachTales: Captivates students through personalized, immersive storytelling that enhances comprehension.
- TimeBack: Functions as a learning copilot integrated with existing applications, offering proactive student coaching.
- Athena: Employs AI-generated video content and assessments to produce measurable learning outcomes.
This position is designed to create tangible impact through production-quality software. You will leverage AI tooling and cloud-native infrastructure to develop full-stack systems that address real challenges, not simply close tickets. You are expected to deliver quickly while maintaining quality, selecting the simplest correct approach that balances immediate velocity with long-term sustainability.

What You Will Be Doing
- Design and Deliver Full-Stack Features: Own user stories end-to-end; clarify requirements, architect scalable solutions, implement backend and frontend logic, validate through testing, and deploy to production
- Diagnose and Resolve Bugs: Conduct root cause analysis to investigate issues, address underlying problems rather than surface symptoms, and prevent regressions through strategic testing
- Elevate Code Standards: Conduct reviews of design plans and pull requests to enforce clarity, simplicity, and correctness, preventing technical debt from accumulating
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Creating pixel-perfect interfaces or intricate backend architectures without clear purpose
- Executing specifications mechanically without questioning or understanding the underlying problem
- Spending time in protracted meetings debating roadmaps and priorities or coordinating with stakeholders
- Simply delivering features; your responsibility extends to solving real user problems
Senior Software Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Leveraging AI to create software that addresses genuine user needs, ships rapidly, and remains maintainable over time
Basic Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience writing production code for web applications' frontend and backend (any framework).
- Strong ownership: Demonstrated experience owning complete modules, product features, or teams, not just contributing siloed tasks
- Independent execution: The ability to unblock yourself, set your own pace, and find paths forward in ambiguous situations
- Experience in using generative A.I. in your day-to-day development work

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
