About the Role
Role Description
We are looking for Senior Software Engineer for a contract engagement on a cloud-native trading platform. Positions are open exclusively to candidates based in India. Contract duration is 4–6 months with possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilties
• Design and build core backend services: order management, risk engine and API gateway
• Implement complex business logic including order validation, lifecycle management and risk rules
• Write clean, well-tested, high-performance code to tight delivery timelines
• Containerise services and produce Kubernetes deployment configurations
• Participate in architecture and code reviews with the Solution Architect
• Produce technical documentation for each module delivered
• Use AI-assisted development tooling as a standard part of the workflow
Requirements
• Must be based in India
• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience, ideally in financial or high-performance systems
• Strong proficiency in Go or Java experience with both is a significant advantage
• Solid understanding of in-memory data structures, caching and concurrent programming
• Hands-on experience with Redis and PostgreSQL in production environments
• Experience with event-driven architectures: Kafka, RabbitMQ or equivalent
• Comfortable working with Docker and Kubernetes on AWS or Azure
• Strong REST and gRPC API design and implementation experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience with trading systems, OMS/RMS platforms or FIX protocol
• Familiarity with NSE / BSE / MCX exchange APIs or SEBI regulatory requirements
• Background in algorithmic trading, quantitative finance or brokerage technology
