GCP DevOps Engineer
Years of Experience: 5-10 years
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled DevOps / Cloud Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CI/CD practices, Infrastructure as Code, and containerization technologies. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our cloud infrastructure and deployment processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Cloud Build.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, primarily Terraform, to automate infrastructure provisioning.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes (GKE).
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions using tools like Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, and Stackdriver.
- Ensure cloud security and compliance best practices are followed across all deployments.
- Write and maintain scripts in Python, Bash, or similar languages to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with development teams to support cloud-native application development and deployment.
- Participate in Agile methodologies and contribute to the transformation of DevOps culture within the organization.
Mandatory Skills
- 6-8 years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Cloud Build).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
- Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes / GKE).
- Experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver).
- Good understanding of cloud security and compliance practices.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
Preferred Skills
- GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer).
- Experience in microservices and cloud-native architecture.
- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
- Experience in Agile / DevOps culture transformation.
Important Note: Candidates must have strong hands-on GCP experience (not just theoretical or minimal exposure). Azure DevOps experience is not relevant for this position.
